TPS65987D: Is there any way to do in-system program for TPS65987D's SPI Flash?

Hi TI,

Is there any way to do the in-system program for TPS65987D's SPI Flash? Can it be done from host side via I2C Bus?

We are preparing the preprogram for SPI Flash. But we also concern how to update them if firmware inside SPI Flash needs to be updated.

Hi Fan,

You would need to program the SPI Flash manually the first time after the boards are built. However, once the SPI Flash has a valid image, you can update the contents of it over I2C. You can follow the below app note for more details:

Hi Eric,

Thanks for your answer. There are three I2C bus on TPS65987D. Is any of them good enough to be used for programming?

Yes, any of the I2C ports can be used for this.
