SN65LVELT22: about output common mode voltage

Part Number: SN65LVELT22
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS25BR100, DS64BR111, DS90LV011A

Hi Dear expert,

My customer want to find an LVPECL common mode voltage is 1V device, this SN65LVELT22 output common mode voltage I check on datasheet is 1.9V.

Do you have any recommendation?

thanks a lot!

BR,

Joyce

  • Hi Joyce,

There are several LVDS devices like the DS25BR100 with an output common mode of ~ 1.2V

There are several high speed devices like the DS64BR111 with an output common mode of ~ 1V.  The output common mode voltage on these devices is not tested and will vary based on device VDD and VOD setting.

It may also be possible for you to AC couple the signal and establish a common mode voltage externally.  In order to AC couple the signal must be encoded or scrambled to maintain a DC balance.

  • hi Lee,

Customer is asking for LVTTL to LVPECL translator device, and with LVPECL common mode voltage is 1.2V. Can DS25BR100 input support LVTTL?

    BR,

    Joyce

  • There are some LVDS devices like the DS90LV011A which translate from LVTTL to LVDS directly.  The DS25BR100 would need to use external passive components to receive a LVTTL signal.  What is the frequency of operation?
