TUSB8041-Q1: SS differential pairs swap

Part Number: TUSB8041-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB8041,

in the datasheet P37 11.1.3 Differential Pairs, there is a description of

11. To ease routing, the polarity of the SS differential pairs can be swapped. This means that SSTXP can be routed to SSTXM or SSRXM can be routed to SSRXP.

Does this mean TUSB8041 has such original feature or is this supported by USB3.0 specs?

Is changing some mode by register or something required, or can I just cross  positive and negative without settings?
