DP83822I: Replacing TLK111 with DP83822I

Part Number: DP83822I
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLK111,

Now we use TLK111 in our Ethercat design.

I want to replace it with DP83822I, cause I saw that TLK111 already defined as NRND.

I want to know if there is any issues I shall take into account when I replace between these components.

you had mentioned that both parts had the same Functionality and PINOUT, I already saw that there is a massive difference in pinout.

Your prompt reply is highly appreciated.

  • Hi Wassim,

You are correct, the pin out is different between TLK111 and DP83822I. It's a incorrect tagging on our product page and I will get that fixed. Thanks for pointing it out.

DP83822I supports the similar functionality as TLK111 and is qualified for EtherCat applications. Since the pinout is different you will need to make some schematic level changes but most of the signals will be re-used. As a reference you can see our EtherCat reference design for DP83822: http://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-00299
