i use the max202 in my project, but it shouldn't be the optimal solution,

Can the TRS232/TRS232E replace the MAX202?

Is there any other P/N recommended,   need Pin to Pin

    Jack,

    Yes, TRS232 or TRS232E can pin 2 pin replace MAX202. All devices are 5V RS-232 transceivers. TRS232E comes with 8kV IEC contact ESD protection. The few difference is:

    data rate output voltage cap
    TRS232 250kbps 7V 1uF
    MAX202 125kbps 9V 0.1uF or 1uF
