DP83849I: Optical communication with FPGA+DP83849I

Part Number: DP83849I

Hello,

Our customer use the DP83849 demo board(www.ti.com.cn/.../DP83849IFVS-EVK) to communication with FPGA. He used

ATR-01105CMT/D-ST for optical to electronics conversion.

The test result is as following:

The optical interface and electronic interface are both used the default setting, Port A address is 0000, and port B address is 00001.

The result is that the Port A and Port B could communicate normally.

As to the optical interface, he connected the differential input and output to the optical interface, FX_EN is high, AN_1 is pulled low. The others keep default setting. When connected the optical transceiver by fiber, FPGA sent data according to a certain time period. He found that LED_LINK and LED_SPEED are always bright, while LED_ACT and LINK/ACT  are blink, the frequency of blink is the same with data frequency.

Actually, PC couldn't receive the data( use the wireshark tool and network debugging assistant ).The data could be sent but FPGA side couldn't receive any data.

Some registers  of Port B are configured as following :

00H-2100H

01H-784DH

04H-0101H

05H-0000H

10H-0605H

16H-014BH

17H-0021H

18H-0000H

19H-0021H

Could you help to analysis?

Best regards

Kailyn
