Hi Team,

In the datasheet, it is stated that that the SN65HVD1050-EP withstands voltage transients from –200 V to 200 V, according to ISO 7637.

Could you please provide a detailed information about the duration of the transients that will not damage the device together with the other restrictions, if exist, for example source impedance for the transient or input current limitation, etc. ?

This information is important for protection circuit design.

    Hi Mihir,

    SN65HVD1050 was tested according to the ISO7637-2 standard. This is an international testing standard that specifies the test setup and parameters in order to classify a device's protection rating. The information on pulse duration, timings, frequency, amplitude, impedance, and so on may be found in documentation for this standard.
