SN65HVD11: Input bias current

Part Number: SN65HVD11

Hi,

How much is the current of following current source?

I couldn't find on the datasheet.

Best Regards,

Kuramochi

  • Hi Kuramochi,

I'm having a difficult time finding a particular value for what is shown in the figure. Can I ask the reason you are interested in the value? We may be able to find an easier solution for the calculation or specification you're looking for.

    Regards,

    Eric

  • Hi Kuramochi,

It turns out this value is difficult to quantize because it depends on more factors than the equivalent circuit may suggest. The purpose of this section of the device is to internally bias the receiver so that there is always a known value on the R pin when the receiver is floating, shorted, or open. A suggested typical equivalent value would be around 0.5 to 1uA based on the design.

I hope this answers your question. Let me know if you have any more questions.

    Regards,
    Eric
