SN65HVD06: How to know power consumption of IC

You can find the ICC for a few different conditions in the Driver Electrical Characteristics table in the datasheet, and Figure 15 shows how the ICC scales with increasing data rate.  You could compute the total power dissipation using this ICC along with the VCC voltage of the device.  Note that when a load resistance is used, some of the power will be dissipated in the external load rather than the IC.  This external power can be calculated based on the voltage/resistance and subtracted from the total.
