hi Expert,

My customer have a issue of device reset after power up with USB-CTM-MINIDK-EVM.

Could you please refer the attached video.

Question1

Could you please let me know the reason of this behavior?

This video is taken when the following connection.

- Connect Galaxy S8

- Connect PD charger

- Connect HDMI display

Also, It was occurred with PD charger only.

Question2

Customer think, they should update firmware. Is it correct?

If yes, could you please give me know the latest firmware?

Question3

If firmware is available, Can the customer modify this software as reference for their production?

Question4

What is USB Type-C Enabler Board descripted in the USB Type-C Mini Dock Quick-Start Guide? TUSB1064EVM?

Hi Zhou-san,

After power up and turning on the startup LED, the EVM is reset immediately.

Hi Andras, could you try the project file attached? You can re-flash the the SPI ROM on TIDA-01234 instead of live register update using this project file configuration.

Its difficult to identify exactly why this is happening.

Question 2

Updating the firmware could be a potential reason. Use the following link to download the latest configuration tool, and then load the project into the tool using the option "Import setting from project" https://www.ti.com/tool/TPS6598X-CONFIG

Yes, using the configuration tool, the customer can use the existing project as a reference point and then adjust it according to their needs.
