Good day David,

Documents you submitted in the previous post are general and about STA112. The customer has knowledge about STA112 and knows exactly how to program STA112. But the customer cannot send necessary commands using the XDS200 with CCS tools.

The customer needs an information how to send required commands through

CSS+XDS200 (either with it's debugging tools or utilities, or utilities

for XDS200). The customer doesn't ask which commands should be sent. The customer wants to know how exactly to send these commands via XDS200/CCS.

The customer suppose, that it can be done with CCS similarly to Icepick JTAG multiplexors commands.

I personally never used this device on a scan chain, therefore I will check with the emulatino dev team and see if they ever used this.

CCS and the XDS Debug Probes operate in debug mode, not scan chain mode (typical of FPGAs and other in-circuit testability chains), but it has the capability to add Bypass nodes to its target configuration file if needed - a necessary step to allow having TI processors and non-TI or non-processors in the same scan chain. The customer uses STA112 as jtag multiplexor device, so it cannot be described in the CSS as a "bypass" device. STA112 should be configured first to choose correct jtag TAP port. STA112 is something Like "Icepick_C_0" multiplexor for CPU cores, but it's not supported in CSS.

STA112 can be configured externally (via another software and debug probe) with a few SVF commands. The question can be reformulated as "how to send SVF commands with CSS+XDS200?".

Our Debug Probes do not support direct control using the SVF protocol.

In this case, what you want to do is not possible with our solutions. Sorry.

Can you provide any other form of STA112 control from CCS/XDS200?

Maybe you can configure (or tell how to configure) an additional type of TAP port router in CCS?
