The customer is using SN65HVD73 for their previous version and they want to change from Full-Duplex to Half-Duplex.
Could SN65HVD73 achieve Half-Duplex?
If yes, could you provide the reference schematic?

Yes, any full-duplex RS-485 transceiver can operate as a half-duplex transceiver as long as it has enable controls (DE and /RE pins). You just need to make the following connections:
- Short non-inverting driver output (Y) to non-inverting receiver input (A)
- Short inverting driver output (Z) to inverting receiver input (B).
