=TA + 38*0.288=TA + 10.9
TA is ambient temp

Thanks for the response. However, what we wanted to know was the maximum junction temp spec of this device. It's not shown in the datasheet.

Hi Roy,
Most TI devices are designed to perform with junction temperatures of 105C or higher. Junction temperatures in this range will accelerate product aging. What Brian's calculation highlights is that the low power dissipation of the SN75LVCP601 will only push the junction temperature of the device 10.9C above the ambient temperature. The maximum datasheet specification for Ta = 85C so the maximum temperature the junction should ever see is ~ 96C
