SN75LVCP601: SATA eye patter issue

Part Number: SN75LVCP601

Hi Team,

cusotmer use SN75LVCP601 to do SATA Gen1~Gen3 signal redriver, but now find that the eye of Gen1 signal has not passed, customer measure TP4 point.

0db is more promising, but no adjustable parameter can be found, can make the circle in picture a little taller of adjustable mode?

attached the results of customer test,do you have any suggestion or adjustment mode(DE&EQ&DEW) for this issue.

  • Hi Tommy,

The SN75LVCP601 only has a few waveform controls.  Unfortunately the ability to control DE and output amplitude (VOD) has been reduced to the single DE control.  In your case I would recommend to use the T3 or T6 solutions which meet the inner eye mask and just slightly touch the outer mask.  The outer mask is much less critical to overall link performance.

    Regards,

    Lee
