ESDS312: How to use Pin1&3

Part Number: ESDS312
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPD1E05U06

Hi sir,

In Page3 of ESDS312 mentions pins 1 nd 3 of the ESDS312 being available for straight through routing.

Could you further define straight through routing? Does that mean I can connect pin 1 to pin 5, and, pin 3 to pin 4? \

I don't have to route trace around the pin, just route through it? Is there a picture defining that?

Thank u.

  • Hi,

    Welcome to E2E!

Straight through routing functionality is available to offer multiple options for routing in the layout of the PCB. Straight through routing does enable pin1 to be connected to pin5, and pin3 to be connected to pin4. There is no graphic describing straight through routing for this particular device, but the TPD1E05U06 also offers straight through routing functionality for its NC pins. Below you can find a graphic with an example of the layout for this the TPD1E05U06 device which you can use a reference when routing the EDSD312 device. I hope this helps!

    Best regards,

    Andy Robles
