Hi,
Just wondering if you've done any characterisation of the TPD2EUSB30 for Superspeed Plus (10Gbps) lines?
Best regards,
Jørgen

Jorgen,
Thanks for posting
At first glance, it appears that all information we have is what is available on the datasheet.
Please refer to section 8.2.3 Application curves that show 5GBps capability.
We can check with the team to see if there is any additional characterization data available for this device.

Priya
Hi Priya,
Thanks for the input. If you could check, that would be perfect.

Hi Jorgen,
The information that we have is what is available in the datasheet. No characterization was done for this device for 10Gbps data speed. What is available is the insertion loss that can be found on Figure 7 in section "6.6 Typical characteristics" in the datasheet.
A max of 3dB insertion loss is what I use as a general rule of thumb when suggesting devices for high speed data rates. Since the TPD2EUSB30 reaches 3dB insertion loss at 7.4Gbps I would not suggest using it in a 10Gbps application.
To have a lower insertion loss you would need a device with a lower capacitance. On this link you can find a pre-filtered list with our lowest capacitance devices. These devices do have some differences to the TPD2EUSB30, but they're the only ones with a lower insertion loss at 10Gbps.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Regards,
Andy Robles
