Hi Team,

My customer tried evaluating TPS25831Q1EVM-062 however the EVM was broken with the following step.
1) connect J2 to power supply (24V)
2) connect the load (2Ω) to J1 connector
3) Install a shunt on J4, then the EVM was broken. VIN and GND are shorted in TPS25831-Q1 device..

My customer bought four EVMs however three of these were broken under same condition.
Dou you know why the EVM was broken?

Best Regards,
Yaita

  • Hi Yaita-san,

It is very strange customer broken the EVM, Have we confirm the input + and - connect correct ?

I suggest customer connect the Input to 6V but don't add the loading first , then add the Rd in CC1/2( add the shunt ) to check whether have the 5V output .

in the end add the loading .

BTW, is that use the E-load for the test? If E-load pls. choose the CC mode for evaluation.
