Hi Team:

In DS90UB953A-Q1 datasheet show out that embedded ADC can measure temperature by GPIO 0/1.

May I know how to do it in Hardware for temperature measurement?

May I need analog temperature as like TI LM50? or just use thermistor to implement it?

If yes, whether the temperature range table 3 is mapping table 2 voltage ? Ex: temperature is 50'C =>Code=>100, it map to table 2 =>1.0~1.05V.

Or we can change the range that follow LM50 linear figure.

Hi Thomas,

The temp sensor and 3 bit ADC are internal to the device so you do not need to add hardware. You can look at example 7.3.4.3.1 Programming Example to see how to configure temp sensing. The example is for votlage sensing, but they are very similar.

Got it.

I think we also can use external analog temperature sensor connect to GPIO1 that we can measure remote position temperature.

Is it OK?

Hi Thomas,

If you external analog temperature was connected to GPIO1 and GPIO1 was configured for voltage sensing, it could work. However, the codes for the input voltage to GPIO1 are already defined, so you will need to make your analog temperature correlates to that table (table 2 in the datasheet).
