Hi team,

My customer is using our DS125BR800A and would like to consult with you about the schematic review as below figure.

Could you kindly provide the point from you and customer also would like to know whether there is necessary to put the isolation capacitor at the input/output pin.

If so, how about capacitance value?

There are five retimer at the same board. Thanks.

Hi,

Here is feedback on the schematic diagram.

1. Yes AC coupling is required for DS125BR800A high speed inputs and outputs.

2. Recommend adding 1u decoupling capacitor between VIN and GND

3. AC coupling value may be determined by serial standard. Usually ~ 0.1uF is used. Specific specifications like PCIe (0.22uF) and SATA (0.01uF) use slightly different values.

If the input signal is about 850mV whether it can gain to 1.2V? If so, how to configure it ? Thanks.
