TPD4E1B06: 40V peak at IEC Waveform could be a problem

The IC input we want to protect supports up to 2.8V at 10mA, but with the 2k2 resistor, as shown in the diagram below, the TVS D8 can reach up to 24.8V and will still continue to protect the IC.

What concerns us is the peak at 40V at ~10ns of TPD4E1B06. Would this peak be a problem for the IC, even considering the RC circuit between them?
