Hello, 

At the section 12.1 Layout Guidelines of datasheet of TCAN10551, is said:

" Terminal 8: is shown assuming the mode terminal, S, will be used. If the device will only be used in normal

mode, R4 is not needed and R5 could be used for the pull down resistor to GND."

But, I don't know which values of resistance to use. What would be these values ?

    EuMesmo,

    For R4 and R5, a resistor in the range of 1k to 10k will be sufficient. If the S pin won't be used at all, this pin can be left floating as there is an internal pull-down to keep the device in normal mode indefinitely.
