Hope you are doing well and staying safe. Is TCA9802 is the recommended buffer for SN65DSI83?

Customer is looking for I2C isolation buffer for 1.8V I/O on each side

    Hi Randhir,

    Just to be clear - you are looking for something that separates an I2C bus into independent segments (for example, to be able to support higher total capacitive loading) rather than something that introduces galvanic isolation, right?  If so, then I can confirm TCA9802 would be a buffer device capable of redriving I2C signals at 1.8 V on both sides.  (There don't seem to be any special requirements with respect to SN65DSI83's SDA/SCL signals, so TCA9803 should be compatible.)  If not, I will loop in some engineers more familiar with our isolation ICs.
