TPD4S012: Reverse stand of f voltage of the TPD4S012DRY

Part Number: TPD4S012

Hi  Team

What is  reverse  standoff  voltage and  clamping  voltage  of  TPD4S012DRY.. Since  breakdown voltage is 6-9V what  votage  will appear  at the pin if  ESD  event  occur . If it  is  equal to clamping voltage whic  will be  more  than clamping how  it  will protect my pin during esd  event.

  • Hi Abhishek,

For TPD4S012, the reverse standoff voltage and the clamping voltage will vary depending on the pin you are using.

    D+, D-, and ID Pins

    • Reverse Standoff Voltage: 5.5 V

    VBUS Pin

    • Reverse Standoff Voltage: 15 V

For the clamping voltages, please refer to the graphs below: (D+, D-, ID top; VBUS bottom)

As you can see, the clamping voltage for D+, D-, and ID is about 16 V and for VBUS is about 19 V.

The clamping voltage defines how much voltage your system will receive when an ESD event occurs, so when designing your system, you will need to make sure it can withstand the level of voltage the device clamps at.
