DP83TC811EVM: USB Cannot be connected to Windows PC

Part Number: DP83TC811EVM

DP83TC811EVM was not able connected to Windows via USB. Updated USB driver with downloaded "DP83TC811EVM-CDC-Driver Software" from TI website was not successful. Refer to attached snapshot. Please advise. Thank you.

Hi HS,

When you say that you were not able to connect via USB, do you mean that the USB COM port was not detected on the EVM?

Yes, USB COM port is not detected on EVM. Please refer to Device Manager as below.

Hi Cecilia,

Please advise if there is any workaround or solution to make the DP83TC811EVM board connected to Windows PC via USB. So that we can send command to write/read the register of the board.

Hi HS Apologies on the delay I was out of office for a week and was unavailable for replies.

Can you try using an external MSP launchpad and connecting to the MDC and MDIO pins directly to confirm if you are able to read and write registers through this way?
