THVD1450: Take care the power consumption

Part Number: THVD1450
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65HVD72, THVD1500, THVD1410

hi sir

MAX3471
draws only 1.6μA (typical) supply current from a 3.6V
supply with the receiver enabled and the driver disabled.

does ti have the same device?

  • The THVD1450 must be able to receive data at 50 Mbps, the MAX3471, at 0.064 Mbps.

    The THVD1500 (0.5 Mbps, 5 V) draws 275 µA, the SN65HVD72 (0.25 Mbps, 3.3 V), 600 µA.

The datasheet values might not be accurate because they show the power consumption for the fastest device in the family (the THVD1410 might be much better). But in any case there is no TI device that uses an even lower speed transceiver to reduce the supply current to 1.6 µA.
