SN65HVD232Q-Q1: Recommend circuit required

Part Number: SN65HVD232Q-Q1

I need to use this SN65HVD232Q-Q1 IC for CAN interface  and was unable to get the req result. My design gives a noisy waveform of CANH and CANL. The voltages I get are" 1: 3.3V, 2: 0V, 3: 3.3V, 4: 3.3V, 5: 0V, 6: 2.25V, 7: 2.24V, 8: 0V. Please give me the correct solution and the recommend application circuit. Please find attached the circuit I have designed.

Thanks!

  • Hi Snehal,

The voltages you describe at each device pin are consistent with a normal operational device in a recessive state.

I am unable to open the attached file. Could you please try posting it again? You may also send it to me directly. Finding my email by clicking my E2E name.

How many other CAN nodes are connected during your testing? Is the receiver (RXD pin) able to identify dominant signals on the bus? Would it be possible to also share scope shots of CANH and CANL so I can see the noise you describe?
