DS90UB921-Q1: Swapping to DS90UB925-Q1

Hello team,

My customer used DS90UB921-Q1 for serializer.

But if the customer is not using additional function of DS90UB921-Q1, can he swap DS90UB921-Q1 to DS90UB925-Q1 in the board?

    Hello Kevin,

    Yes, these are pin and functionally compatible. But there are some differences that you need to be aware of them:
    Pin 15 and 16 has different functions/should be differently connected.
    The 921 supports higher PCLK than the 925.
    The 921 supports Coax and STP cable, where the 925 only STP.
