Hi Team,

The customer is going to use this part as the repeater, there are two board in their system.

The I2C master(CPU) is on the MB and I2C slave (sensor and camera) is on the SB. There will be a 1m of cable to connect the MB and SB.

Should they place the device on MB or SB? Thank you.

The cable adds lots of capacitance, so I would recommend to place the TCA with its B-side current source towards the cable.

If you want to control the EN pin from the master, the TCA should be on the master board. If the two voltages are different, the lower voltage should be on the cable. But otherwise, it does not matter at all.
