DS90UB954-Q1: ALP recognize the 954 as 929

Hello Team,

Our customer will use 935-954, they want to perform Margin analysis program(MAP) by using analog launchpad(ALP) software.

Customer already built their custom board so they connected PC with 954's I2C SCL/SDA pin by USB2ANY connector.

However somehow the Software recognize it as DS90UH925-Q1. They don't use 925 in their board. Can you let me know how to solve this problem?

And they also can't find Margin analysis tab in their tool. Below picture is from user's guide. Can you let me know how to appear the Margin analysis tab?

Hello Yuta,

1) Click on USB2ANY/Aardvark Setup, a new window will open.
2) Chose the existing device, in the left hand side box, and click Remove.
3) Under “Select a Daughter Board" search for the required device profile, in this case DS90UB954, and click “Add” and then “Ok”.

Thanks for your answer. Customer's GUI recognize 954 correctly.

But they are facing other issue. The linked status and the pass status are "No" as below. Does it mean the I2C communication fail? Can you let me know how to solve this?

Currently they connect only

Pin 9 for I2C SCL of 954

Pin 10 for I2C SDA 954.

Is the connection method correct? Is there any other pin which should be connected?

Hello Yuta,

can you please post a screen shot from the whole window?

Also, what SER is connected to the DES ? What is the clocking Mode and Mode pin settings on both devices?

I just heard from customer that they self-solved the problem. They think their power up sequence or something was wrong.
