TLK105L: Undershoot beyond Absolute Maximum Rating

Dear, 

We are evaluating Signal Integrity of MII interface between the AM3357 and the TLK105L on our board.

We found that there is the undershoot on the PR1_MII0_TXEN sginal which is beyond the Absolute Maximum

Rating (-300[mV]) of the TLK105L(PHY) for 575[psec] and reaches -570[mV].

We know this is un-guaranteed condition, but could you tell us the following?

1.Whether the undershoot could cause immediate and catastrophic damage to the device, or not.
2.Whether the undershoot could cause malfunction, or not.

    Hello,

    As you've noted, this condition falls outside of our Recommended Operating Conditions and Absolute Maximum Ratings tables for this device. We cannot validate conditions outside of these values when characterizing the device. 

    I would not expect immediate and catastrophic damage to the device after the undershoot condition you described. I cannot comment on whether the device will malfunction because it has not been tested at this condition.
