TRSF3232E: TRSF3232E high speed run that temp too high.

Hi Team,

My customer use TRSF3232E to test and the condition is 1Mbps speed.

But the IC temp high around 65C on room temp. RD uses another competitor ZT3232LFEN.

The device no like this issue. Would you help comment on this?

Hi,

Can you share the test setup, like Vcc, C1 to C4 value, load condition, and also the package? Is the temperature change aligned with the thermal resistance data in datasheet?

Hi Team,

Customer use condition as below. thanks!

1. C1 to C4 use 0.1uF

2.VCC=5V

3. Baudrate: 921600 bps

4.Package:SOIC16

Hi,

The recommended cap values for 5V supply are shown on table 9-1 in the datasheet.

Can you also share some the waveforms of the two devices? Based on the datasheet, ZT3232 only works with 1000kbps with 3kOhm and 250pF load. TRSF3232E works with up to 1000pF.
