SCANSTA112: Question about application with CPLD program

Hi Team,

My customer had a project the HW adopt SCANSTA101 and SCANSTA112 to implement JTAG chain for the CPLD program.

SCANSTA101 will link with main CPU be JTAG source.
They have some question about SCANSTA112.

How to select which CPLD will be program, if two CPLD on same LSPx bus.
Did it switch different LSPx when program CPLD? Or the whole bus all work like daisy chain.

Please advise.

Please take a look at this app note:

and in particular section 2.2 Each CPLD is attached to a local scan port (LSP) of the SCANSTA112. You can then program the CPLD using its LSP while the TAP controllers of all the other scan chains are held in Test-Logic-Reset state.

Please understand that the support for JTAG devices is limited, as the original National Semiconductor group who supported this product no longer exists, thus limiting our in-depth knowledge about this device.
