SN75LVDS83: Custom board 24bit RGB TFT LCD to LVDS TFT LCD

Hi everyone.

I have designed a board using TFT LCD 7inch with 24 bit RGB , but now customer required me change TFT LCD 24 bit RGB to TFT LCD using MIPI/DSI interface.

I had find solution for this item by using SN75LVDS83, I had custom board based on "Tida 010013" board.

But I'm not sure my design is correct or incorrect.

So anyone can give me some advice for my custom board ?

Hi Hoang,

I don't think this will work out.

The TFT panel you picked out accepts an MIPI DSI input but the SN75LVDS83 will only output OLDI signals.

OLDI and DSI are not compatible. You would need to find a different bridge chip.

Hi Hoang,

I don't think TI has a RGB to DSI converter. I see these are available from other vendors with a quick google search.
