Hello,

We are manufacture of professional Audio Video eqiptment for Broadcast.
Currently we are facing an issue with SDI which is related to the HDMI signal.
There is an heavy jitter. We run some test with different HDMI sources and identify that our HDMI is the problem. For this reason we need to clean the HDMI.

Is it possible to clean / dejitter the HDMI signal with the TMDS181?

If yes please give me some advice where we can get the Reference Design TIDA-050001 for testing.

Hi,

The TMDS181 is a redriver/retimer. In the retimer mode, it can clean up the input signal jitter. But it also depends where the input jitter is. The TMDS181 can clean the jitter as long as the jitter is within its CDR bandwidth. If the jitter is outside the CDR width, then the TMDS181 will not able to clean it.
