DS90UH928Q-Q1: BIST enable from Serializer

Hi team,

Is it possible to enable BIST feature of DS90UH928 by access UH928 BIST enable register from Serializer(UH949)?

I would like to perform BIST feature, but the access to I2C bus of UH928 is not possible, so I would like to enable it from the serializer.

I concern if I enable BIST mode, Serializer cannot access to UH928 register until UH928 disable BIST.

Is my understanding correct?

Hi Shinji,

No, if you enable BIST from the serializer side, you will not be able to turn off bist.

BIST should only be controlled from DES side.
