ALP Update software installation failure

My customer is using the ALPF and ALP Update software for FPD-Link test/evaluation.

Now they have encountered the issue like that “The application cannot be started. Because the parallel configuration of the application is incorrect. For more information, please refer to the application event log or use the command line sxstrace.exe tool”.

 

Solution: 1. I have suggested them to install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable(x64) of 2015-2019/2005——Still encounter the issue;

                 2. I have suggested them to configure the “Window Module Installer” and let it be started——Still encounter the issue;

The customer also said that they succeeded in PC with both ALPF and ALP Update software but failed in their laptop with ALP Update software, what other solutions/suggestions could install the ALP Update software successfully?

    Zirui,

    Please try suggestions below:

    a) Before installation of ALP_PROFILE_UPDATE, please make sure ALP frame work is installed

    b) If ALP is running, please quit ALP

    c) Not sure if customer's download of ALP_PROFILE_UPDATE somehow got corrupted. Please request customer to download latest version from ti.com/tool/alp. The latest version is v09. Please download v09 and see if installation works

    d) You mention it is working on the PC but not on the laptop. Is laptop also Windows 10 (Professional or Business)?
