Dear Sir or Madam,

Uses TL16C2552FN as an alternative to PC16552DV / NOPB.
I tried to replace it, but it does not work (UART communication).
The MCR Register settings are BIT3 (1) and BIT5 (0).
What kind of confirmation is required for it to work?

I'll take a look at the 2 datasheets to see if I can find any distinct differences. I'll follow up with you tomorrow.

Hi Nakatsuka,

There looks like there are some slight timing differences between the two devices. The Reset also appears to have different default values. And like you pointed out, the MCR bits 3 and 5 appear to be different.

We may want to check your timing on an o-scope and confirm that the device has the minimum timing requirements met.
