due to a very short time to market, a TUSB8041 design should be realized very closely to the EVM. Are the 4 power switches (TPS2001C) really needed? Any further recommendations to migrate fast from the EVM design to a production design?

    Hi Hanno,

    Downstream port power switches are not required.  If not implemented, FULLPWRMGMTz should be set high.  USB-IF requires exposed ports to report overcurrent events, so that is a concern if compliance testing is required.  From the schematic, the EEPROM, switches and JTAG header are not required.
