TPD2S703-Q1: Swap D+/D- signal

Part Number: TPD2S703-Q1

Hi Team,

Could we connect CPU D+ to TPD2S703-Q1 D- and CPU D- to TPD2S703-Q1 D+?

In this connection, the same swap of VD- and VD+ is done on USB connector side.

  • Hi Roy,

Yes, it is ok to exchange.

  • Hi Ansel,

We have v1 schematic for TPD2S703-Q1. May you help to check the schematic below?

I have a question about the enable pin. Could we pull low the enable pin by pull-low-resistance as shown below? Is there any risk to damage the components and IC  on D+/D-?

    • The sequence of TPD2S703-Q1 is shown as below. The TPD2S703-Q1 can recover by itself and the over-voltage on D+/- will less than 1us. It seems that it’s safe to the components and ICs behind TPD2S703-Q1.

  • Hi Roy,

    Please see the below comments:

CMC and 10nH inductor should add between the type A port and the TPD2S703 like datasheet shown, And others are pretty good.

In addition, EN can pull down by a resistor, but EN will be not control on other risks.

To be ware, when doing the layout the TPD2S703 should put as close as possible to the type A port.

    Regards,

    Ansel
