Hi TI expert

I have known that DS125BR800 and DS125BR820 have 0x0A Signal Detect Monitor register.

May I know if DS125BR800A also has the 0x0A Signal Detect Monitor register. Seems like there is a missing in datasheet.

Hi Thomas,

DS125BR800A is a linear redriver with SATA/SAS OOB support. As part of OOB support, signal should be detected within 1.6nS. So in a way, BR800A works like an analog buffer and this is why signal detect or its register is not shown in the data sheet.

I understand that thank you. However is that register available to query anyhow? I would like to be able to query that one 0x0A register instead of querying each channel individually - saves time in checking to see if a valid signal has been detected.

That register is not available since it has not been characterized. This is why it is not listed in the register map.
