Dear Sir or Madam,
We are considering using TL16C2552 as an alternative to PC16552D.
I checked RESET compare and Timing and it was okay.
But it still doesn't work.
Has anyone succeeded in the replacement?
Best regards,
Nakatsuka

Hi Nakatsuka-san,
The pinout for these devices are the same with only a couple name changes. They perform functionally the same things. So in order to better assist you could you explain what the issue is in more detail. Is there a problem with resetting device?
In the meantime, I'll look through the datasheets and see if anything critical has changed.
Best,
Chris
Hi Nakatsuka-san,
So I went through the voltages and timing requirements of the TL16C2552 and noticed some pretty significant changes. For all figures below I am assuming that the TL16C2552 is operating at 5V.
Voltages,
Timing Requirements,
I am only going to go over a few timing requirement changes but I would recommend looking over these again to make sure they meet the specifications of your system.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Best,
Chris
Chris-san,
Thank you very polite investigation.
Once again, to confirm the waveform.
Regards,
Nakatsuka
Nakatsuka-san,
I'm sorry but I am unsure what waveform you are talking about, could you clarify what you mean by waveform?
Best,
Chris
Hi Chris-san
It is the current measured value.
Read delay and write delay will be measured from now on.
VCC: 5V
Clock VIH 5Vp-p > 3.5V
Clock VIL 0V < 1.5V
FREQUENCY 14.7456MHz
Pulse duration, RESET 1ns < 250ms
Pulse duration, clock high 24ns > 18ns
Pulse duration, clock low 25ns > 18ns
Best regards,
Nakatsuka
Hi Nakatsuka-san,
Can you send me the oscilloscope shots you have taken? You can post them here or send them to my email at c-ayoub@ti.com
On the oscilloscope shots can you make sure to mark which signal is which?
Best,
Chris
