Can I think that the thvd1410 surge index is 6kV and the maximum surge index is 6kV?

    Zhang,

    The THVD1410 is rated for high ESD protection but not surge. In section 10.2.1.5, the section where you pulled that figure, it shows that surge power delivered is much much higher than the power delivered in an ESD strike. This is meant to show that for applications expecting surge-level transients, external protection is needed.

    If you look at the application section detailed design procedure (section 10.2.2), this discussion is further explained with an example of how to protect against a 1-kV surge transient.
