Hi, Support Team

Customers are developing Multi Connection Hub products.

Part needs to be changed during development, so we are reviewing the change.

Please answer the questions below.

When using the TUSB 214, the BC1.2 protocol is in the Charger IC and also in the Redriver.

Isn't the BC1.2 protocol conflicting?

Is it possible to use the above structure?

    Hi MJ,

    Correct, You should not use two BC 1.2 controllers on the same USB port. I would recommend disabling the USB charger IC since the TUSB214 BC 1.2 function cannot be turned off. Keep in mind that TUSB214 only has CDP function, no DCP.
