When A side is driving low and B side also needs to drive low, at this time if A side is sinking some amount of current from B side current source?

Hi John,
No. The two sides are separate from each other since the device itself is a redriver. A side does not sink current from its own B side. What I was explaining in that paragraph was the definition of I2C low level contention where both sides are driving low at the same time EXTERNALLY.
