TUSB3410: I2C Pins & D/S Typo

Part Number: TUSB3410

Team,

1. Are the I2C pins (SCL, SDA) open drain or push-pull? The I2C standard calls for open drain drivers but the datasheet describes both pins as 3-state CMOS outputs with both drive and sink capabilities. Your evaluation boards show pull-up resistors (typically 1K) on both lines. The datasheet says that SDA contains an internal 100 uA pull-up.

2. In the datasheet page 4, pin 19 in the bottom drawing has a typo: the pin name should be "SOUT/IR_SOUT

  • Hi,

    1. TUSB3410 SDA/SCL pins are push-pull, TUSB3410 has an internal MCU and uses bit banging to communicate or I2C. FW disables pull-ups on the pins during operation. Pins operate between PD and Hi-Z.

    2. Thanks, I will get with datasheet owner on this.
