SN65LBC180-Q1: Output Level

Part Number: SN65LBC180-Q1

Hello team,

When 5V is input to the VCC terminal and A terminal and 3.3V is input to the D terminal,

is there a possibility that the Z, Y, and R terminals will be output with variations as shown in the figure below?

Best regards,

Shotaro

  • Sakai-san,

Yes, this is how the device would work since the input thresholds would work with a 3.3V input as well. The outputs will be referenced to VCC and thus 5V in your configuration, unless external components are used (diodes for instance) to create a voltage drop on the output. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Regards,

    Eric Hackett
