SN65DSI84: SN65DSI84

Part Number: SN65DSI84

Hello,

Our company NPP Contactmodule LTD. produces video terminals for special applications based on your SN65DSI84TPAPRQ1 microcircuit.

The video signal is generated by the STM32H747 controller.
In a serial product, the image is displayed on the C123HAN02 display.
Display parameters: RGB 1920 x 720, 2 port LVDS, Clock frequency 44.7 - 61 MHz.
SN65DSI84TPAPRQ1 receives DSI signal on 2 channels, synchronization from DSI.
Using your DSI Tuner utility, the parameters which provide image output in RGB888 and RGB565 modes have been selected.

At the present time we have a need to display an image on the S080QXG04EA display.

Display parameters: RGB 1024 x 768, 1 port LVDS, Clock frequency 52 - 71 MHz.

As in the serial product, the SN65DSI84TPAPRQ1 receives a DSI signal via 2 channels, synchronization from DSI.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to get an image on the display.
But the built-in test signal generator in the SN65DSI84TPAPRQ1 provides the output of colored vertical stripes.
LVDS signal is generated at the output with the necessary parameters when clocked from an external DSI signal.

Could you, please clarify: if there are any undocumented features in the settings or circuitry of SN65DSI84TPAPRQ1 to work in the specified configuration?
Specifically in the mode of forming 1 port LVDS from 2 channel DSI.
Also, could you explain: is the DSI Tuner utility applicable for selecting the parameters of the specified configuration?
And what are the features of its application in this case?
