Hello, is there any detail on compatible SPI flash for the USB9261? 

the chips described in the reference guide are no longer available or really difficult to obtain.

    Hi,

    Any SPI flash meeting the requirements below can be used. TUSB9261 supports SPI Mode 0, not SPI Mode 1. See the SPI Flash requirements below:


    ~ The bootloader uses a fixed frequency of 18.75 MHz, flash should support this clock frequency.
    ~ The flash must use a word size of 8 bits and an address length of 24 bits.
    ~ The program instruction must allow 256 bytes to be written in one operation.
    ~ The entire chip should be able to be erased by the bootloader prior to programming.
    ~ Minimum flash size of 512 kbits (64 k x 8).
