As per datasheet ISO7221ADR is characterized for operation over the ambient of –40°C to 125°C.
I would like to use this component in an operating ambient of –55°C.
Will it operate at this ambient?. Will there be any issue with the oscillator inside the IC?
Can you tell the expected behavior of this IC @ –55°C?
We do not have any characterization data for this part outside the specified operating temperature range. While it is possible the device may operate outside these limits, you may experience errors outside the specified range.
We are glad that we were able to resolve this issue, and will now proceed to close this thread.

If you would like to have predictable behaviour of the digital isolator at -55C please look at ISO7241A-EP or ISO721M-EP.
