TPS65982D reference circuit for Docking application

Hi,

My customer want to use the TPS65982D for docking application. They copied the circuit from the TIDA-00630 which used the TPS65982.

How to modify the circuit for the TPS65982D? How to connect the GIPOs with the HD3SS460? Could you share us the reference design circuit for this application? Thanks!

    Do you have a block diagram of what they are trying to accomplish? What are the power capabilities?

    Have you had a chance to look at the latest dock design?

    Hi Wu,

    If they plan on supporting 20V charging they will have to support the PDP rules, where they would have to support 5V, 9V, 15, 20V. This can be accomplished with a variable DC/DC. The variable DC/DC can be connected to the PP_EXT to source the needed required voltages.

    The schematic should be the same as the TPS65982 device without the internal high voltage path. You will need to reserve a voltage divider from LDO_3V3 to GPIO8.
